The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Specialist Mine Development Support in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mine Development departments based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
This role will support the creation, implementation and maintenance of fit-for-purpose processes relating to mine development and ensure the delivery of mine development targets whilst maintaining a high level of operational safety, schedule compliance and tactical efficiency applied to reach development goals.
What the role entails:
- Lead & support Underground Mine Development support projects & initiatives to drive performance.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets & execution plans from initiation to closure.
- Coordinate internal & external stakeholders, contractors to meet development milestones.
- Ensure all works align with HSE standards, statutory requirements & company policies.
- Provide contract management support to supplier contractors & stakeholders.
- Lead & support operational teams with technical documentations (CEA’s, Memorandums, SoW’s, SSJ’s, SWP’s, Contracts etc.).
- Provide analytics support to operational teams to reduce operational wastes & improve productivity.
- Lead & support deployment of SPS practices within Mine Development umbrella including contractors & partners.
- Foster continuous improvement mindset & operational excellence
- Lead & support Mine Development operations teams with resources planning input, forecasting, CAPEX management.
- Provide strong & visible leadership & direction to direct reports, team members &contractor organizations.
- Promote & display the values, behaviors, decisions are aligned with Oyu Tolgoi’s “Our Vision, Our Future” and “The Way We Work”.
- Support & lead by example the implementation of OT Operating Model.
- Support operations teams with consumables management.
- Actively participate in design & mining sequencing reviews with the Detail Design & Technical Services team.
- Organize field trials of new equipment or processes via JHA & document learnings/opportunities.
- Support in upskilling team members in project management, mine development technical understanding.”
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Project Management related discipline, Engineering or Mining is preferred
- At least 5 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Experience & knowledge in technical writing, project management, contract management is preferred
- Understanding & utilization of Lean Six Sigma (DMAIC) methodologies is advantage
- Good verbal & written communication skills in both Mongolian and English”
- Microsoft Excel and Office suite skills
