The opportunity
We are looking for one ( 1) Senior Structural Engineering in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Sustaining Capital department based at Ulaanbaatar with roster 5 days on and 2 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide engineers services and support on civil activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Ensures safe operates practices, systems, & processes are established & comply with Mongolian & Rio Tinto HSEQ policies/standards, JHA’s, & safe work procedures.
- Provide structural engineering support to operations, including engineering calculations, stress analysis, and drawings as requested to support operations requirements
- Directs preparation of appropriate documentation for assigned projects.
- Identify and implement defect elimination opportunities in an effort to reduce maintenance and operating costs.
- Assure that all work completed in the department complies with all other applicable policies and regulations.
- Provides specific engineering training (equipment testing, specific instrument tools, interpreting the test results ) to the stakeholders and other engineers.
- Coach engineers to troubleshoot and make an analysis for the any faults on the system and problem solving.
- Lead and direct small working group to develop maintenance tactics on plants or systems, as per the asset management guidelines.
- Other duties as specified.
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor or higher degree in Structure, civil and industrial construction design and planning engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience in the design of civil and industrial construction “building structures” according to the working drawing phase.
- Experience in the development of construction drawings of more than average complexity, approved the drawings with state expertise.
- Lira sadr of construction calculations, and others works on the necessary calculation software. Works on Autocad, Lira/ or Tekla structure, CSI Etabs, and Microsoft office and other applications,
- Above intermediate level of English.
- It is an advantage to have a degree in “Structure Design Certified Engineer”.
- It is an advantage to have experience in construction work and experience in developing improvement solutions during operation.
