The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Senior Engineer Technology Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Information Technology – IT Operations Department based Ulaanbaatar Office and Oyu Tolgoi Site with 50/50.
To ensure delivery of ongoing operations and maintenance of systems OT IT Site Support team responsible for, specially in UG area by providing advanced technical solutions during their implementation, testing and service to transition support.
What the role entails:
- Lead by an example to promote UG safety culture within IT Operations & Site Support IT duties & responsibilities
- Provide advice and support to supervisor, superintendent, managers and other members in the development of practical solutions to difficult problems
- Be responsible for the normal operation of Underground related systems as subject matter expert within team
- Support as subject matter experts in providing advice to customers as required
- Learn and own all UG systems that related to IT EUS team scope and ensure to provide necessary information/ knowledge share to the team
- Provide advanced technical support and solution to Site Support team, UG Comms team & respective UG Operations, Mine Coordination, Control room teams
- Lead to define root causes of incidents and action on mitigation
- Supports, maintains, installs & configures user account profile including Outlook also computer, printer, YSoft terminal etc, EUS supported hardwares
- Maintains EUS stock including consumables, critical spares as following current process
- Logs all Service desk interactions on tickets and ensure user informed on any changes with request and its closure resolution
- Participate to projects and lead when required
- Research and identify solutions to software and hardware issues. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, including mass/corporate issue.
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology.
- At least 5 years of experience in the relevant field.
- High proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to implement solutions within operational frameworks.
- Knowledge in areas such as information security, network management, and database management.
- Familiarity with new technologies and software, and the ability to quickly learn them.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
