The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Senior Engineer Electrical Reliability in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Electrical & Instrumentation Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to support to ensure the optimization and reliability of assets, conducting analysis of reliability problems investigating to determine the reliability required for the situation considering the cost limitations for equipment up/down time of all related systems of underground mining operation. In addition to developing appropriate measures, operation, and maintenance strategies, performing analysis or research on the breakdown or interruption of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
What the role entails:
- Lead a team to conduct various graphical analyses and condition monitoring to identify potential failures of electrical, instrumentation and critical system equipment in underground mining, investigating issues and implementing resolution measures.
- Monitor the Work Management process to ensure its proper operation, review maintenance tactics, particularly the execution of planned maintenance (PM01, PM02, PM03), identify errors and deficiencies in task lists and standard work procedures, and propose improvement initiatives and solutions based on data collected from various sources.
- Utilize various software and tools such as SAP, Matrikon, BIT, PI, and PowerBI to generate reports and analyses reflecting the performance and quality indicators of system and equipment availability.
- Lead the Asset Criticality Assessment (ACA) process and organize predictive maintenance optimization (PMO).
- Conduct in-depth failure investigations using methodologies such as Fishbone, 5 Why, Cause and Effect Diagram, RCA PROACT, and FMEA to analyse reliability issues and determine optimal corrective actions.
- Systemise and sustain the change of reliability-focused initiatives, implement management of change in improvement projects
- Drive performance improvement project on MTBF and collaborate with the necessary teams to implement solutions.
What you will need for this role
- Maintenance Engineer relevant qualification is preferable. Bachelor’s in engineering or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates or diplomas from colleges or universities
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training
- English language verbal and written skills, and systematic analysis techniques
- Strong ability in Microsoft Office programs with an ability to produce high-quality documents using (in particular) Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), such as SAP
