The opportunity
We are looking for one ( 1) Senior Engineer Data Architecture in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Technical Data and Systems Department based in Ulaanbaatar.
The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical expertise in ensuring Oyu Tolgoi’s operational data architecture is well considered and fit for purpose. The role is embedded within the TDS team to maintain OT’s operational data landscape from data creation/source to usage and inform the best way to leverage data.
What the role entails
- Maintain documentation of OT’s operational data landscape from data creation/source to usage
- Designing, developing, implementing, and translating business requirements and the overall organizational data landscape, including data sources, storage, pipelines, data flow, and security policies
- Communicating and defining data architecture patterns in the organization that guide the data framework
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate degree or higher in Computer Science or related field with emphasis on data engineering, architecture, and software engineering from accredited college or university
- Experience in a complex fast-paced environment, a positive attitude, and willingness to take on challenges
- Strong understanding of data architecture and how to design, develop, implement, and translate business requirements into the overall organizational data landscape
- Solid understanding of IT operations data, infrastructure, and how different systems interact and be aware of the best practices on data architecture
- Able to travel to Oyu Tolgoi site when necessary
- Both verbal and written, in Mongolian and English is required
