The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Senior Engineer Automation UG Projects in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Electrical & Instrumentation Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide frontline leadership and Ensures effective and consistent delivery of services on electrical and instrumentation activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Implement changes to the PLC program and corresponding schematic modifications related to enhancements and new projects
- Creation of MOC documents and executing the project by self or with 3rd party persons.
- Support automation teams in estimating the scope of work and execution of detailed drawings and automation equipment drawings within the budget
- Allocates maintenance coverage for breakdowns.
- Interface with the Planning Group to coordinate any scheduled work.
- Improving on current control PLC code and proc
- Prepares asset condition & performance information to support maintenance decisions.
- Allocates maintenance coverage for breakdowns.
- Support teams to execute automation and electrical network installation according to underground mine penetration plan
- Provide support and assistance in the construction work at different stages of the underground mining project.
- Support document control, reporting processes, inspections, incident investigations, technical guidance and analysis.
- To support the decisions made by the management, express opinions appropriately, and propose other possible options
- Monitor whether all installations are completed in accordance with C2 standards
- Monitor compliance with C1 isolation standards
- Providing support and assistance to senior staff by providing leadership in proposing engineering solutions and implementing changes
- Exemplify, support, and instruct contractors and employees in company policies, regulations, and safety culture
What you will need for this role
- Maintenance Engineers or relevant discipline is preferable. Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Proficient in project management, problem solving, and systematic analysis techniques
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Good communication skills in both Mongolian and English.
