The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Senior Engineer Asset Health in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Asset Management Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
Provides support to the maintenance and operation function. Maintain the asset health condition monitoring system and implement it well to prevent breakdown maintenance operation violation enhance availability and to maintain standard quality of equipment to achieve production targets, costly effective and timely. Leading and directing large complex sustainable maintenance optimization projects of the assets. Builds the relationships to work with the operations, maintenance, and planners for the area of accountability.
Provides support to the maintenance and operation function, conducting analysis of maintenance requirements, implementing engineering solutions and establishing sustainable maintenance practices.
What the role entails:
- Generate critical insights and actionable information for asset maintenance and operations by analysing high-frequency data from various sources such as online condition monitoring systems, data historians, mobile fleet dispatch systems, time loss accounting systems, etc
- Supervise and lead asset health engineers and technicians.
- Use data analytics skills to study and analyse a wide range of asset data to generate data-driven insights related to asset failure risks and operate for reliability (O4R)
- Perform periodic analysis and reviews of asset health and performance data trends to continuously assess asset failure risks and monitor performance.
- Apply Artificial Intelligence technologies such as machine learning models to automate the identification of early asset failure symptoms and operate for reliability violations.
- . Ensure effective communication with Asset Health stakeholders for timely remedial actions to minimize asset failures risks.
- Assist in identifying and managing risks related to asset failures through Defect Elimination (DE) projects and Asset Failure Risks Assessments.
- Introduce more efficient Asset Health processes by implementing new technologies, machine learning models, algorithms, statistical models, data integrations and other tools
- Monitor the performance and ensure the quality of data generated by online condition monitoring solutions, sensors and machine learning models supporting asset health activities.
- Capture benefits generated from the Asset Health program and share with stakeholders to confirm the creation of value.
- Collaborate with Condition Monitoring personnel to undertake additional testing to confirm incipient faults and diagnostics.
- Collaborate with maintenance and other asset/discipline engineers to optimize maintenance activities and asset performance outcomes
- Monitor and report remaining useful life (online data).
- Generate technical reports on critical assets by using asset health technologies
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline is preferable.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
