The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Scheduler Operations in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Surface operations – Concentrator Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 7 days on and 7 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide services and support on activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Schedule operations team routine task on OTOSS and adjust based on employees leave, training compliance once a week
- Reconcile the operation team schedule with maintenance weekly schedule
- Schedule add-hoc tasks on OTOSS as per operation leaders’ request and maintenance task requirement /Isolation, clean up, gas test, etc/ every week
- Get approval from superintendent to lock the week schedule once a week
- Distribute locked schedule to related stakeholders once a week
- Check task completion in the field vs schedule in daily
- Lead the weekly scheduling meeting of Operation team /Crusher, Grinding, Flotation, TSF, Bagging, Isolation and Contractors/
- Initiate the continuous improvement ideas of OTOSS and update all related information if changes occurred/operation routine task master list, continuous improvement log sheet, etc/
- Own the OTOSS reporting system and provide necessary reports to end users as required
- Own the introducing process of operation task compliance which interact with maintenance task
- Create maintenance PM request for operation routine tasks
- Completes any other tasks as needed or as directed by management
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Science, Engineering, Health, Safety, Environment or relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Good computer skills in MS word, Excel and database software
- Intermediate English written and verbal communication skills.
