The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Scheduler E&I Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Electrical & Instrumentation Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with roster of 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide services and support on activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Delivers accurate schedules in accordance with Work Management process
- Facilitates the daily maintenance coordination and weekly scheduling meetings with Supervisors
- Compiles/prepares ‘next week’ draft schedule for weekly meetings, and final schedule (W+1) and lead the scheduling meetings
- Discuss and align production and maintenance requirements and opportunities for identify other planning teams trade-offs
- Review/commit to maintenance locations
- Schedule and assign the work integrating both the planning and execution requirements
- Control process safety, functional safety and statutory related work schedule compliance
- Generate metrics to demonstrate performance and drive improvement

- Develop a schedule for each crew based on man hours available, forecast that shows highest skill available, critical priorities
- Review any current downtime activities that may affect schedule (W+1) and manage
- Completes any other tasks as needed or as directed by management

- Coordinate all shutdowns and its required equipment according to Gantt Chart
- Develop an executable electrical weekly schedule aligned to maintenance strategy & ops requirements (+1 to +4 weeks).
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates, or diplomas from academic or vocational high school trainings.
- Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline is preferable.
- At least 2 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Experience with Electrical and/or similar equipment shutdown
