The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Scheduler in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mobile Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide services and support on maintenance activities of the organisational unit in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Assist in developing a safety culture whilst ensuring that all work undertaken in areas of responsibility comply with existing safety legislation and is in full compliance with applicable HSE standards.
- Ensure safety standards, processes and procedures are in place and adhered to for the during construction phase and into Operations
- Ensure the safety of all fellow team members and that risks are identified, mitigated and managed
- Working in accordance with Oyu Tolgoi’s Value
- Prepare jobs so they can be executed as safely as possible. Conduct regular safety interactions.
- Generate job procedures for all maintenance work and maintain it in the form of a Task List.
- Working with the Operation team to ensure scheduled tasks and targets are understood and are effectively communicated
- Accurately estimate time required to complete maintenance work along with manpower requirements.
- Conduct regular field audits to observe the execution and discuss the quality of the schedule with Craftsmen & Supervisors.
- Maintain coding in SAP to ensure an accurate equipment history.
- Manage the backlog in your area.
- Have a good understanding of what the Work Management KPIs mean and how they are calculated.
- Be able to drive improvements if KPI’s are low
- Interpersonal
- Initiate, develop and maintain effective and sustainable relationships with all relevant stakeholders
- Manage contractors effectively ensuring compliance with all procedures and processes
- Development and implementation of cost improvement initiatives
What you will need for this role
- Secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates or diplomas from academic or vocational high school trainings.
- Maintenance Engineering or relevant discipline is preferable.
- Matured safety commitment and awareness.
- Relevant experience typically achieved through vocational trainings and equivalent practical experience or on-the-job training.
- At least 1 years relevant experience in SAP
- High level of proficiency with MS Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint
- English verbal and written skills will be well regarded
- Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
- Demonstrated ability to work through complex problems and resolve conflict
