The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Planner Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mobile Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide services and support on maintenance activities of the organisational unit in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Assist in developing a safety culture whilst ensuring that all work undertaken in areas of responsibility comply with existing safety legislation and is in full compliance with applicable HSE standards.
- Ensure safety standards, processes and procedures are in place and adhered to for the during construction phase and into Operations
- Ensure the safety of all fellow team members and that risks are identified, mitigated and managed
- Maintains the highest standard of health & safety performance by implements a personal safety plan, exhibits behaviors consistent with zero tolerance, leads by example with colleagues, team members & business partners & acts in accordance with relevant HSE policies & objectives.
- Support the CRM program within the Plans group & the business in general.
- Develops & manages the maintenance & operates plan that minimizes cost while achieves goals for availability & reliability.
- Ensures Total System Capacity has maximum utilization, with sufficient plans horizon to allow opportunity for continuous improvement or a step change.
- Monitor implemented plant register, task lists, bill of materials as part of the maintenance management system (SAP).
- Conduct regular field audits to observe the execution and discuss the quality of the plans with Craftsmen & Supervisors.
- Collaborates closely with other functions in the performance of duties.
- Create, maintain & improve the quality of the Zero Based Budgets within the business solution.
- Review and develop maintenance tactics and whole of life (WoL) strategies for assets.
- Once it is down to 2 years, hand over process to happen Monthly / Quarterly basis with Shutdown Planning team as indicated
- Process of resources planning with some added strategic discussions and plans
- Develop plans to materialize strategy and analyze business proposal
- Create reports regarding strategies for review by senior management.
- Align processes, resources-planning and department goals with overall strategy
- Keep track of the effectiveness of strategies and make changes when necessary
- Analyze Report information & explain the results to the departments as required.
- Accountable for manages Rotables Process & System to Ensures suitable repairable turnaround time
- Ensure the Work Management and Shutdown Management Processes are effective and are supported by effective coordination and communication meetings
- Be able to drive improvements if KPI’s are low
- Work closely with reporting functions to analyses performance issues and ensure to address them in the future execution planning process for gap closure and mitigation.
- Assists in engineers feasibility studies related to data collection & analysis.
- Ensure that parts, equipment, materials and tooling are receipted and allocated to the correct job before work is placed on the daily work schedule or shutdown schedule
- Audit & review system Master Data, to maintain system integrity
- Provide strong and effective leadership to team members.
- In conjunction with Mtce Supervisors, develop and maintain task instructions that facilitate safe work execution.

What you will need for this role
- Secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates or diplomas from academic or vocational high school trainings.
- Maintenance Engineering or relevant discipline is preferable.
- Matured safety commitment and awareness.
- Relevant experience typically achieved through vocational trainings and equivalent practical experience or on-the-job training.
- 3 year experience in Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP.
- Intermediate English language verbal and written skills
- Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Experience in a complex fast-paced environment, positive attitude and willingness to take on challenges
- Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
