The opportunity

We are looking for two (2)  Planner Long Term UG E&I Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLCUnderground Electrical & Instrumentation Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.

The purpose of this role is to deliver accurate long-term budgets and forecasts that are aligned to asset whole of lifecycle strategies & business plans for the specified Asset Class/ Area of Responsibility and provide frontline leadership to align the effective and consistent delivery of services support on maintenance and operations system conditions of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the department’s objectives and targeted plan.

What the role entails:

  • Build and maintain long term, maintenance forecast (must be aligned with Plant Operational process and HSE procedure) (SL windows)
  • Develop long term E&I maintenance plans using strategies and tactics and logically linked into sequenced work packages
  • Maintain updates to SAP/ databases for updated equipment change out data – plan, counters warranty restarts
  • Maintain tactics aligned to whole of life (WoL) & long-term maintenance plans per asset classes
  • Accurate long term maintenance plans and risk-based budgets aligned to planned and shutdown strategies
  • Identify CAPEX items (replacement of high value items), 52W and obtain End Users approval
  • Complete major maintenance analysis (Historical Plan vs Actual analysis), including review of component, consumption quantities, & contractor labour requirements
  • Prepare ZBB per cost area/ asset area & prepare/ execute ZBB review workshops, incl. facilitation of Annual budget review mtgs with cost centre owners
  • Create and maintain maintenance plans in the SAP to reflect change outs
  • Ensure PRT’s, BOM’s and relevant material is in place to support maintenance tasks
  • Early identification of critical issues and implement control strategy. This will include safety hazards as well as any operational risks that may be identified from production loss, equipment reliability, and business risks

What you will need for this role

  • Electrical Engineering or relevant discipline is preferable. Secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates, or diplomas from academic or vocational high school trainings.
  • At least 2 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
  • Experience with Electrical and/or similar equipment shutdown
  • 2 years’ experience in Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP.
  • Upper-Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite
