The opportunity
We are looking for three ( 3) Operator Service Crew in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Production department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site with roster 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to execute service tasks within the functional unit in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the Mine’s extraction objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Carry out mine services and ancillary work in accordance with the instructions of the supervisor
- Read, interpret and follow drawings, sketches and plans provided by the Engineering team as required for services tasks;
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in the UG environment;
- Identify hazards in the workplace, implement appropriate controls, or escalate as reqiured to prioritize your own and others’ safety first.
- Establish effective and positive relationships with co-workers and other sectors of the mine
- Attend training on Awareness of Emergency Response to acquire full knowledge and skills & able to take appropriate responses when needed;
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Effectively complete work-related documents on the job, such as JHA / TRACK evaluation / CRM checklists
- Follow the 7 life saving rules
- Proper use and maintenance of PPE
- Have a well-organized and productive working time, and if you have free time, take the initiative to inform your supervisor and perform any assignment given by the supervisor at a high quality level.
What you will need for this role
- Post-secondary or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates (e.g. apprenticeship or trades certificate) or diplomas from academic or vocational training centers
- Have a valid Mongolian B or M category driver’s license.
- Must have work experience in shaft sinking services necessary for execution of UG Development or at least 1-year significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Must have Certified Mongolian License on operating man basket crane
- Previous experience working underground
- Regularly encourage the implementation of HSE practices and promptly resolve any discrepancies with team members.
- Being a citizen of South Gobi is an advantage.
