The opportunity
We are looking for one ( 1) Operator Production Truck in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Production department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine site with roster 14 days on and 14 days off. /This is 1-year fixed term role./
The purpose of this position is to carry out mucking work in a safe and compliant manner in accordance with company rules and regulations in order to fulfil the mining plan.
What the role entails
- In addition to the mucking work with a Production truck, perform the accompanying tasks according to the instructions of the supervisor
- Work in compliance with the Oyu Tolgoi project site health and safety regulations within the framework of the Labour Law of Mongolia, HSE laws, and the laws on control of the circulation of explosive substances and explosive devices
- Read, understand and follow the procedures required for the dump truck handling task
- Keep the workplace tidy, clean and safe
- Identify hazards in the workplace, implement appropriate controls, and, if necessary, notify supervisors and relevant officials to prioritize own safety and the safety of others
- Establishing effective and positive relationships with colleagues and other departments of the mine
- Must have completed emergency response training and acquired full knowledge and skills.
- Responding to emergency situations.
- Effectively execute work-related documents such as JHA/TRACK assessment/CRM checklist etc. on the work site
- Work in accordance with the 7 life saving rules
- Use and maintain PPE properly
- Good organization of working hours, spend productive time and if free time is available, report to the supervisor on your own initiative and carry out any tasks given by the supervisor at a high level of quality
What you will need for this role
- Completed high school or equivalent education with a diploma or certificate from a vocational school or vocational training centre program (eg, on-the-job training programs).
- Heavy Equipment Operator Certificate
- Evidence of relevant work performance and dump truck competency certificate will be an advantage.
- With a qualified driver’s license /transportation of dangerous and bulky goods/
- Has a Mongolian B, C, E class driver’s license
- Must have work experience in mucking by dump trucks in an underground mine, and must have more than 3 years of work experience in a related workplace
