The opportunity

We are looking for one ( 1) Officer Geoscience Data and Reporting in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Resources & Systems department based in Ulaanbaatar.

The primary purpose of this role is to provide supports on MTS data management and reporting and business support servcies management within MTS department.

What the role entails

  • Use business software applications to prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, agendas, minutes, etc.; may Prepares responses to routine correspondence & inquiries.
  • Co-ordinate departmental meetings, conferences & workshops, travel & transport
  • Assist with management of documentation, records & files as per OT Document Control Management policies & procedures. File all incomes & outgoing correspondence.
  • Generate stores requisitions & purchase requisitions.
  • Translate documents & reports into English & Mongolian. Assist with interpretation as required.
  • Track and keep recording of HSE related activities including action tracking.
  • Developing into more complex activities such as making powerpoint presentations for their leaders, maintaining standards registers, leading meetings, preparing reports, updating information boards, participate in Management meetings to ensure record keeping and appropriate action items are followed – up
  • Assists with producing dashboards and reports which enable stakeholders to utilise and analyse key performance indicators.
  • Develops data, reports, documentation of the reporting on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for distribution to relevant stakholders and good data maintenance.
  • LDP Approval and MOC within the department and its implications, cost tracking and documentation
  • Support writing Quality Control/QA reports for sampling and analysis

What you will need for this role

  • Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Minig and Geology
  • Relevant experience typically achieved through vocational trainings and equivalent practical experience or on-the-job training
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Have high oral and written English skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and office applications is an advanatge.
