The opportunity
We are looking for one ( 1) Officer Contract Management in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Procurement department based at Ulaanbaatar with roster 5 days on and 2 days off. It is replacement of maternity leave-fixed term opportunity.
The purpose of this role is to perform the unit’s contract management, contract site instructions, contract awarding, sending materials, proper analysis and evaluation, contract completion, and other contract-related duties in accordance with company policies and procedures in order to fulfill the team’s goals and planned plans.
What the role entails
- Provides support to the leaders and end users inimplementing service contracts in their area
- Ensures contract insurance and special license requirements are in place and up to date regarding their contract portfolio
- Coordinates and attends contract performance review meetings with Stakeholders
- Ensures timely response in communications with Suppliers and End Users
- Supports the Procurement team with any contract modifications or amendments, any contract improvement and cost optimization ideas.
- Assist the Superintendent Contracts Management in minimizing claims and settling back charges and ensure they are managed and processed correctly when they do occur.
- Ensures Contract Management process compliance in day to day work, formal communication to contractors,proper document maintenance including in Ariba
- Responsible to coordinate payment confirmations, to verify invoices against contract and supporting documents, to ensure close-out and any other post-award activities in accordance with established project procedures and contract management practices.
- Ensures opportunities for value creation are fulfilled by proactively identifying the potential for contractual risk and providing plans to mitigate these and deliver ongoing Stakeholder support and value to their contracts.
- Works closely with the relevant teams to ensure contract local content optimization in accordance with the requirements and obligations of the Oyu tolgoi LLC Investment Agreement.
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor or higher degree in Business Administration or relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong ability in Microsoft Office programs with an ability to produce high-quality documents using (in particular) Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
