The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Mechanic in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Mechanical Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off. This role is 2-years fixed term contract
The purpose of this role is to provide frontline leadership and ensure the effective and consistent delivery of services and support on equipment maintenance activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the department’s objectives and targeted plan. Furthermore, this role is responsible for the maintaining medium size and auxiliary equipment, earth moving equipment and trucks, different types of manufacturer equipment and material handling equipment as well as fuel, hydraulic and electrical subsystems in accordance with pertinent technical manuals and bulletins. Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, or components, using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem with maintainers and to ensure its safe operation.
What the role entails:
- Perform mechanical maintenance, fitting, auto-electrical maintenance on Mid-size mobile equipment (Including: Forklifts, Road Trucks, Mixers, Mobile compressors, Loaders, Welding machines, Telehandlers, Lighting towers etc CAT, Kalmar, Manitou, Allmand, Foton brands of various type of mobile equipment and compasion engines, transmissions)
- Mechanical and electrical maintenance on Pure electrical vehicle – BEVs
- Ensure and follow that all work completed in the department are complies with all other applicable policies and regulations of Oyu Tolgoi.
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance activities such as cleaning, lubrication, inspection, repair and etc. on any type of equipment of OT and contractor on site and out site in a timely, efficient and professional manner.
- Follow and implement task that assigned from direct leaders in safe and efficient manners.
- Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting, maintenance, repair, test with high quality.
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Auto-electrician
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training
- National Certificate of Electrical Safety
