The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Inspector HME (Diggers and Drill) in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Mine Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide technical assistance, support, and expert advice on continuous improvement practices across on a day to day basis to Heavy Mobile Equipment Maintenance.
What the role entails
- Collaborate closely with other functions and stakeholders in the performance of duties.
- Perform comprehensive and holistic routine inspections of heavy mobile equipment to correctly scope and prioritize jobs, determining repair action when required.
- Conduct adhoc equipment inspections where required and carry out smaller opportune repairs (high risks and / or quick fix tasks) within allocated inspection duration.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects, increasing safety whilst reducing risks and cost
- Utilize SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard Notification’s to be properly scoped and entered into SAP with material numbers and estimated time frames for supervisors’ approval.
- All assigned task/maintenance orders and work request are to be carried out in a timely fashion and to a high standard.
- Work with Engineering team to help identify problem areas in fleet
- Engage with maintenance teams on a regular basis in the field to provide support and understand any maintenance execution limitations (tooling, planning/scheduling issues, parts, manuals, procedures)Complete actions in a timely manner that are raised at any meetings you attend
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mining Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) such as SAP is desirable.
- English and Mongolian Language skills both in oral and written
- Proficient in MS office applications specially in Excel, Word and Project
