The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Engineer UG Infrastructure Planning in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground EL & HL Construction department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The Infrastructure Planner is responsible for developing and overseeing the execution of strategic plans for underground infrastructure & services projects within the UG Mine Operations. This role ensures that infrastructure & services projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and within budget by coordinating with various stakeholders, conducting risk assessment, and implementing best practices. The infrastructure planner will leverage technical expertise and project management skills to facilitate communication among teams, optimize resource allocation, and navigate regulatory requirements, ultimately contributing to the successful completion of underground infrastructure & services projects.
What the role entails:
- Develop detail plans, schedules, and timelines for underground infrastructure & services projects.
- Determine necessary resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, and allocate them effectively.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all aspects of project are aligned.
- Regularly inspect the construction site to ensure compliance with plans and safety regulations.
- Address and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
- Develop forecasting and budgeting tools to allow consumables usage analysis and procurement forecasts.
- Provide regular progress reports to stakeholders, including updates on timelines, budgets, and any issues.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all project activities, including changes and approvals.
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Mining or Construction engineer or relevant disciplines
- Experience typically achieved through graduate qualifications and at least 3 years relevant experience.
- Excellent communication skills. English competency in both written and speaking is essential.
- Good computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
- Ability to work with project management team in preparation of reports and documentation
