The opportunity
We are looking for Eight (8) Engineer Mining in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Production Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide engineering services and support on mining activities of the organisational unit in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Appropriate frequency of underground inspections to monitor progress of all production activities in progress, confirmation of activity completion, and site readiness requirements for upcoming activities.
- Develop an operationally optimized and detailed 3wk look ahead plan for Undercutting, Draw point development, Draw bell drilling, blasting and Box hole sequence provide as input into the Integrated Mine Weekly Plan.
- Develop detail operational plan based on site readiness requirements and mining methodology for all Vertical development activities.
- Performance data analysis to identify areas for improvement and recommend actions, presented to production engineering and operational staff for endorsement.
- Organize handover between ELHL and Production team. Ensure “0” delay between Production and ELHL teams.
- Control Cave draw compliance
- Present Production team Weekly performance review
- Monitor and assist in delivering schedule compliant execution of daily operations
- Co-operation with Draw bell construction teams developing Integrated Planning
- Develop detailed plan sequence for delivering Production activities
- Generate the Production work orders to teams for the Integrated Mine plan and ensure compliance.
- Monitor and direct the shift plan.
- Support Production operation all activities
- Panel 1 and 2 Readiness project
- Panel 0 Performance/ Productivity improvement project
What you will need for this role
- Mining Engineering or equivalent technical discipline Bachelor in education obtained through degrees, certificates or diplomas from colleges or universities
- At least 3 years relevant experience.
- Microsoft Excel and Office suite skills.
- 3D computer drafting software such as AutoCAD, Deswick or similar
- Good English verbal and written skills.
