The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Engineer Metrology in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Site Infrastructure and Services – Electrical Service department based at Oyu Tolgoi mine with the roster of 14/14.
The purpose of this role is to provide frontline leadership and ensures the effective and consistent delivery of services and support on utilities maintenance activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the department’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails
- Actively participate to Process safety critical control verification, ensure that all controls are performed timely with high quality according to the Standard Work Procedure, and eliminate the non-compliance immediately. To adhere ATO process if there is a need of using with non-compliance.
- Safety first all the time. Also, act as a role model in demonstrating and living the OT green behaviors.
- Develop maintenance plan and tactics for measuring instruments that meets the statutory requirement.
- Develop calibration methodologies and procedures for Electrical, mechanical, and analytic measuring instruments.
- Perform the calibration and the testing on the measuring instruments as a professional
- Actively involve for developing the Quality management system, adhering, and sustaining
- Estimate the uncertainty budget of the calibration.
- Adhere the Work management process.
- Research last updated international and national calibration standards for laboratory scopes and will get it into laboratory calibration methodologies.
- Should be active member to extending the current laboratory scopes.
- Accountable and responsible for integrity and continuous reliable operation of laboratory reference equipment. Keep sustaining the unbroken chain of traceability of reference instruments.
- To do calibration and testing on Pressure relief devices and measuring instruments based on their specialty
- Adhere the accredited calibration laboratory procedures as per ISO/IEC17025:2017 as always. The recording of quality management should be fulfilled.
- As requested by management, make engineering study on problems
What you will need for this role
- Engineering degree or equivalent or higher education obtained through engineering degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities
- Graduate engineer or At least 3 years relevant experience
- Should have certain knowledge of the calibration and the metrology. Should have experience relevant to the laboratory quality management.
- Should have ability to establish the uncertainty budget or have certain knowledge of the uncertainty.
- Analytic skill on the data
- Upper intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and Office suite
- Advanced English language level will be well regarded.
- Knowledge about operation principle of measuring devices. Such as transmitters and calibrators…
- Team player
- Experience relevant to developing the technical and quality documents and adhering.
