The opportunity 

We are looking for One (1)  Engineer Commissioning in Oyu Tolgoi LLCUnderground Fixed Plant Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.   

The purpose of this role is a multi-disciplined requiring strong knowledge and skills with SAP master data, maintenance planning, asset strategy and tactic development using reliability based methodology, identification and management of asset life cycle spares and support in the development of the required Standard Work Procedures.

What the role entails:

  • Perform hands on work for all phases of the project pertaining to the commissioning activities in underground and on surface.
  • Coordinate and work with other teams to ensure schedule is kept on target.
  • Provide weekly reports for management including all areas being commissioned
  • Investigate design and construction and commissioning handover deficiencies on walkdowns, follow up with relevant teams to ensure they are completed on time.
  • Monitors and comments on daily commissioning activities effecting and involving startup.
  • Manage vendors while on site and ensure all trainings are complete and up to date.
  • Ensure NOE and NOC documents are complete and accurate and issue via document control at least 24 hours prior to energization.
  • Plans personnel and equipment needs and supports work on various projects with multiple disciplines.
  • Plan and develop ways of improving systems being constructed and commissioned.
  • Assist in developing and implementing new projects.
  • Manage team roster to ensure maximum support during critical times.
  • Ensure commissioning tools are up to date and complete
  • Work with operational readiness to ensure SWP’s, isolation matrixes and environmental studies are accurate and up to date.
  • Following Company health and safety standards and reporting any unsafe acts or conditions to the principal advisor or Manager

What you will need for this role

  • Electrical Automation Engineer Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
  • At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
  • Good English language verbal and written skills
  • Good computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite.
