The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Coordinator Shutdown Logistics in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Fixed Plant Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide full support related to parts material activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Support the maintenance department in identifying parts, sourcing materials, and ensuring parts availability in collaboration with planners and maintenance teams within Rio Tinto Business Solutions (RTBS) SAP
- To update the spare parts list as part of the maintenance work, communicate with internal and external suppliers of OT, and prepare and place the reserved materials, required to perform the work scheduled for that week.
- Adhere to processes and procedures within his/her responsibilities to support work management processes focusing on materials management processes for both planned and emergency (failure) maintenance.
- Provide support to maintenance supervisors by assisting with maintenance work as required.
- Coordinate and organize activities between tool keeper and parts coordinator, while optimizing the performance of large and small bulk jobs by preparing spare parts in advance
- Expediting and maintaining checklists and reports for spare parts that do not arrive on time
- Confirm availability of all spare parts and materials for major and minor maintenance over next 4 weeks
- Continuously monitor the availability of critical spare parts and materials and work with the inventory controller to ensure that they are at optimal levels.
What you will need for this role
- Maintenance Engineers or relevant qualification is preferable. Bachelor in engineering or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates or diplomas from colleges or universities.
- Relevant experience typically achieved through vocational trainings and equivalent practical experience or on-the-job training.
- Minimum 1–2-year experience in planning
- Strong ability in Microsoft Office programs with an ability to produce high-quality documents using (in particular) Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English – both orally and in written form
- Data analytical skills is preferable
