The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Coordinator Parts & Expeditor in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Fixed Plant Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide full support related to parts material activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Support maintenance department on identifying parts, material delivery and providing parts availability through collaboration of planners and maintenance team in within the Rio Tinto Business Solution (RTBS) SAP
- Liaise with suppliers either internal or external of OT on repair requirements to ensure BOMs are up to date and Weekly Jobs are ready to schedule with materials staged for execution.
- Ensure processes and procedures are followed within the area of responsibility to support the work management process focusing on materials management process in both planned and urgent (breakdown) activities.
- Supports to maintenance supervisors by providing assistance with maintenance tasks if required.
- Optimize major and minor shutdown executions through parts readiness in well advance while managing and coordinating storekeepers and parts coordinators
- Expedite materials if not expected in time and develop monitoring reports and tasks
- Confirm all parts and materials will be available for coming 4 weeks minor or major shutdowns
- Provide ongoing track of critical materials availability, lease with inventory controllers on optimum stock level
What you will need for this role
- Maintenance Engineers or relevant qualification is preferable. Bachelor in engineering or equivalent education obtained through degrees, certificates or diplomas from colleges or universities
- Relevant experience typically achieved through vocational trainings and equivalent practical experience or on-the-job training.
- Strong ability in Microsoft Office programs with an ability to produce high-quality documents using (in particular) Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Proficiency in English – both orally and in written form
- Data analytical skills is preferable
