The opportunity
We are looking for one (1) Coordinator Maintenance in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Electrical, Instrumentation & Communication Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The primary purpose of this role is to support the engineer and technical staff on their day-to-day work and ensure the normal operation of all the Wired /Wireless / Radio Communications Infrastructure, including the Radio system, by providing daily support and issue resolution. Ongoing service improvement, effective utilization and optimization initiatives are also critical. This role is also responsible for fixing end users’ complaints and issues.
What the role entails:
- Promotes and demonstrates values and behaviours in line with OT HSEC policies and standards
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the Underground mine Wi-Fi networks
- Responsible for managing and maintaining the Underground mine Radio system
- Commissioning the new deployment of the devices following the company procedure
- Prepare the documents for the inspection and maintenance plan from the SAP system
- Reliability support of the WIFI and Radio network communication infrastructure per shift
- Configuring WIFI and Radio devices
- Prevent and reduce underground radio network non-interference, certify and maintain
- Register radio frequency licenses for wireless devices used in the underground mine.
- Maintain inventory and take responsibility for all communication equipment, spare parts, and materials
- Coordinate with vendors to resolve technical and software-related issues concerning the underground communication systems.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the assigned systems.
- Record and respond to service requests related to communication and wireless network services.
- Perform other duties as required.
What you will need for this role
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Networking or Communications or related field
- Require at least 5 years of relevant experience
- Strong technical skills in the networking field
- Ability to speak, read and write English at a functional level is a requirement
- Ability to work in underground conditions
- Ability to handle client queries/requests promptly & professionally.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and following prescribed safe work practices.
