The opportunity
We are looking for two (2) Analyst Asset System Development in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mobile Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The role is a multi-disciplined requiring strong knowledge and skills with SAP master data, maintenance planning, asset strategy and tactic development using reliability based methodology, identification and management of asset life cycle spares and support in the development of the required Standard Work Procedures.
What the role entails:
- Develop and implement effective maintenance strategies to enhance the reliability, availability, and performance of mobile assets.
- Contribute to reliability analysis for mobile mining assets, utilizing approved methodologies to identify improvement areas and guide the implementation of targeted maintenance tactics.
- Support Life Cycle Cost Analysis (LCCA) by suggesting optimal replacement points, referencing age, maintenance cost and performance data as primary inputs.
- Lead the development of asset tactics for preventive maintenance and condition monitoring, leveraging maintenance history and reliability data as key references.
- Establish and maintain a centralized database to document failure modes and corresponding maintenance tactics, enabling informed decision-making.
- Continuously optimize maintenance tactics through regular evaluations, adjusting strategies based on performance trends, defect elimination, and changing operating conditions.
- Assist in creating Standard Work Procedures (SWPs) for mobile assets to streamline maintenance processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Identify and manage the procurement of critical spare parts necessary for supporting the full lifecycle of mobile mining equipment.
- Collaborate with teams to define and secure critical spare part requirements, minimizing downtime and maximizing equipment availability.
- Partner with Procurement and operational teams to ensure the timely delivery of mobile equipment in line with project plans.
- Align asset management strategies with long-term performance goals, ensuring systems and processes are designed to optimize the reliability and performance of mobile mining equipment.
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, finance or a related discipline..
- Minimum 4 years working in a mining maintenance and/or reliability role.
- Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite
