The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Advisor, Process Improvement & Reporting in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Procurement Department based Ulaanbaatar Office with 5 days on and 2 days off.
The Advisor, Process Improvement and Reporting, is responsible for supporting the end-to-end delivery of reporting and analytics solutions for Procurement users. This includes the technical design, development, deployment, and documentation of deliverables, ensuring they are completed within defined timelines and quality standards. The role is part of Process Assurance & Performance Management team and will contribute to the planning and execution of risk management and assurance activities across the Procurement functions.
What the role entails:
- Extract, improve and consolidate data from various enterprise (ERP) systems and other in-house systems such as SAP, ARIBA etc.,
- Conduct data analysis on procurement-related datasets to help identify key improvement areas and generate meaningful reports for Leaders
- Design and develop comprehensive reports using visualization tools such as Power BI and other automation tools
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and reporting solutions, including development and measurement of key performance metrics
- Build and maintain the compliance and assurance KPI dashboard
- Engage with different stakeholders across Oyu Tolgoi and Rio Tinto Group to effectively collaborate and deliver high quality reporting and analytics solutions
- Contribute to the development and execution of risk-based Assurance plans across different Procurement functions
- Conduct other Assurance-related tasks as needed such as reviewing contract documents, performing inquiries, and maintaining documentation
- Recommend process improvement initiatives based on insights gained through data analytics, reporting, and assurance activities
What you will need for this role
- Postgraduate or equivalent education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities in Computer Science, Data Analysis, Software Engineer, Business, Commercial and other relevant disciplines
- Proficient in utilizing ERP systems (RTBS/SAP), SQL, Query and other internal platforms
- Advanced skill in BI (Power BI/ Tableau) and Power Automation tools. Microsoft Certified is preferred
- At least 3 years of relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience
- Strong communication, problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and spoken language in English and Mongolian
