The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Advisor Asset Integrity in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – Underground Mobile Maintenance Department based Oyu Tolgoi Site with 14 days on and 14 days off.
The main purpose of this role is to manage the operational integrity and compliance of underground (UG) assets with Oyu Tolgoi and Mongolian safety standards. It develops and enforces asset integrity management plans, coordinates the timely commissioning of new assets, and supports operational readiness by ensuring all required documentation is provided. The role also oversees the permitting process, implements robust governance for document and database management, and supports Asset Integrity Inspectors during the commissioning of UG assets.
What the role entails:
- Develop and enforce asset integrity management plans, including inspections, testing, and compliance with Oyu Tolgoi (OT) and Mongolian safety and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate with OEMs, Procurement, and Production Readiness teams to ensure the timely and seamless commissioning of new assets.
- Support the operational readiness process by ensuring OEMs provide all necessary operational, maintenance, and safety documentation within the required timeframes.
- Review relevant documentation, including manuals, procedures, and test certificates, ensuring they are aligned with OT and Mongolian regulations.
- Train and support a team of Asset Integrity Inspectors on the “Fit for Purpose” inspection process, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic connections for integrity and compliance with specifications.
- Coordinate with or visit OEM or dealer facilities to verify that assets are assembled according to all requirements in the “Fit for Purpose” checklist.
- Advise on and support permitting activities in compliance with Mongolian laws, company policies, and procedures, ensuring the achievement of team objectives and targets.
- Ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements within this function.
- Build and maintain a departmental database, facilitate cross-functional alignment, and generate operational reports.
- Play a leading role in ensuring that periodic reports and information provided to stakeholders are accurate, aligned, and compliant.
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Required: Undergraduate qualification or higher in an engineering, mining or science discipline.
- At least 5 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical experience and on the job training.
- Ability to speak, read and write English at a functional level is a requirement.
- Intermediate computer skills including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel and Office suite
