The opportunity
We are looking for One (1) Analyst External affairs in Oyu Tolgoi LLC – External Affairs and Communications Department based Ulaanbaatar Office with 5 days on and 2 days off.
The purpose of this role is to provide services and support on external affairs activities of the functional area in line with the company policies and procedures to achieve the team’s objectives and targeted plan.
What the role entails:
- Advise and support the Manager, External Affairs in tracking and mapping stakeholder requests including those concerning sponsorship and donation.
- Develop, maintain, and manage relationships with requestors and beneficiaries providing background information on requests and follow-up updates on implementation
- Facilitate projects and initiatives with government officials and civil organizations to exchange information on business activities eg site visits, investment forums, sponsorship events.
- Contribute to production of specialized internal deliverables, including but not limited to concept development, drafting and language translation of monthly business highlights, public media contents, external correspondences, etc.;
- Align stakeholder engagement strategy and planning with other internal and external communications and stakeholder engagement activities to compliment and reinforce efforts.
- Coordinate strategic activities across the departments.
- Align work with other Communications department teams and relevant teams across the business.
- Ensure work and activities conform to the way we work and other compliance standards;
What you will need for this role
- Undergraduate or equivalent or higher education obtained through degrees or diplomas from academic college or universities.
- Public Relations, Communications, Law, Business, Mining, International Relations or relevant discipline.
- At least 3 years relevant experience, or otherwise the significant practical
- experience and on the job training.
- Fluency in English and Mongolian Languages.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Keen ability to analyze complex information.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent planning and organizing skills.
- Ability to work in a confidential manner with minimal supervision.
- Good computer skills including proficiency in the use of databases and MS office applications.
