“Oyu Tolgoi” LLC (the ‘Company’) would like to invite potential and/or experienced suppliers to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) in relation to supply of “Geochemistry Laboratory Operation Services”.
[An
EOI is only a preliminary step to a formal tender process to understand
and identify whether there are potential suppliers in the market that
are interested in and capable of satisfying the procurement needs]
The supplier will be required to carry out all of, but not limited to, the following work
Scope description:
Within
Geochemistry Laboratory Operations at the Oyu Tolgoi mine site, a
service provider will conduct full set of assay services including
sample collection of both processing and concentrate; sample preparation
for analysis; and performing qualitative and quantitative chemical
analysis with appropriate method, methodology of the elements and
mineral contents by using equipment and instruments that is provided by
the company ;
The Scope of Service is the provision of labor on
a required or agreed basis; and comprises the provision of the Supplier
performing, but not limited to, the following:
- Analytical laboratory services for Concentrator, Geosciences, Open pit , Underground and other divisions in the Company
- Maintenance and calibration of analytical instrument and equipment
- Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
- Training
- Engineering and related disciplines
- LIMS system (Hardware and software) acquisition, implementation and administration;
- Overall administration
Required resource personnel are:
- 1 x Laboratory Superintendent (+8 years);
- 1 x Laboratory Deputy Superintendent (+5 years);
- 3 x Senior Chemists and/or Shift Chemists (+2 years);
- 6 x Chemist – QA/QC (+2 years);
- 6 x Laboratory Technicians (+1 years);
- 6 x Sample Preparation Technicians;
- 3 x XRF Chemists (depends on method/instrument) (+2 years);
- 3 x ICP Chemists (depends on method/instrument) (+2 years);
- 3 x Fire Assayers (+2 years);
- Other off-site and on-demand specialists (instrument/equipment/ Lab Auditors):
- 1 x Maintenance Trades and/or Specialists (as required);
- 1 x Laboratory Safety & Training Experts (as required);
- 1 x Method and Quality Experts and/or Auditor (as required)
Interested and experienced suppliers are must include/attach, as a minimum, the following documentations / information:
Mandatory documents:
- State registration certificate (copy)*
- HSE policy & procedures (copy)*
- Business Code of Conduct (copy)*
- Audited Financial statement from last 3 years (copy)*
- Brief introduction of company (copy)*
- Ownership/ shareholder information such as Company charter (copy)*
- Executive team structure/ introduction (copy)*
- Organization structure & Total manpower (copy)*
- Scope specific experience
- Customer reference (at least 2) if applicable
- Special license

latest copies are already uploaded in “Oyu” Supplier Database, please
make a note in the submission document(s) and no need to re-submit.
Scope specific documents:
Any interested suppliers who wishes to participate in the EOI, must be registered in “Oyu” supplier database. If you have not registered in “Oyu” database, please register at https://oyu-supplierdatabase.ot.mn/.
EOI documents must be prepared in Mongolian and/or English and must be submitted via “Oyu” Supplier database before 5pm, (Ulaanbaatar time) 4 March 2021.
Important notice:
- The
Company is only seeking Expression of Interest from potential suppliers
and makes no representation or promise in relation to procuring work
from a supplier or suppliers. - The Company reserves the right to refuse any document(s) which is incomplete or submitted after the specified date & time.
- The Company will not accept any EOIs stored in internet storage or in any other webpages and links.
- The Company will not be responsible for any costs associated with preparing and submitting an Expression of Interest to the Company.
- There will be no Questions and Answers provided during the EOI process.
